We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions. This role involves driving technical vision, making high-level architecture decisions, and ensuring best practices across Node.js and React applications hosted on Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and influence strategic technology initiatives, while balancing innovation with operational excellence. Accountabilities
- Own and define high-level architecture for Azure-based Node.js and React applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
- Assess, plan, and execute the introduction of new technologies and architectural improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine functional and nonfunctional requirements, translating them into technical solutions.
- Manage risk identification and mitigation strategies related to architectural decisions.
- Provide mentorship and thought leadership to engineers, supporting Communities of Practice (CoPs) and project teams.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and architectural artifacts while promoting SDLC best practices.
- Influence long-term product vision, technical strategy, and development roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Architect or Cloud Architect, with strong proficiency in Azure Cloud Services.
- Microsoft Azure AZ-305 certification required.
- Expertise in Node.js backend development, TypeScript, and React frameworks; familiarity with NestJs/ExpressJs and Zod schema validation is a plus.
- Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Azure Service Bus, Postgres, Sequelize ORM; MongoDB, Python, and WorkOS SSO are desirable.
- High-level English proficiency for global team collaboration and client interactions.
- Strong leadership, critical reasoning, decision-making, and mentoring skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, design CI/CD pipelines, and implement DevOps practices.
- Preferred certifications: Solutions Architect (Azure), TOGAF.
