Construction Project Manager
One of our clients, doing extensive work in industrial construction predominantly in Karnataka and Maharashtra, is looking for a Project Manager with good communication skills in a client-facing role.
Position Summary:
Responsibilities: Client Coordination:
- The Project Manager will act as the primary point of contact between the client and the project team, ensuring seamless communication and alignment at every stage of the project.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their vision, expectations, and concerns.
- Provide regular updates to the client on project progress, timelines, budget utilisation, and key milestones.
- Proactively address client feedback, resolve issues, and manage expectations to ensure a positive project experience.
- Represent Ivory Ace Structures professionally in all client meetings and site visits.
Project Planning:
- The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, budgeting, and preparing the Gantt chart of the entire project. This will include civil works, electrical works, HVAC works, and landscaping.
- He/ She will be required to coordinate with consultants/ contractors to get the right estimates for various works along with timelines.
- He/ She will be required to obtain all government permissions and licenses before the commencement of work.
- He/ She will have to identify vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors and negotiate optimal rates for all works to be carried out at the project site
Execution of the project:
- Coordinate efforts across the entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors
- The Project Manager will have to manage on-site construction crews
- Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes
- Provide direction over contracts and subcontracts
- Manage construction schedule and activities
- Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines
- Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes
- Select and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships
- Track daily progress of the work.
- Ensure procurement of materials required to ensure the timely completion of the work.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards of the work being carried out.
- Control the budget and report weekly progress.
Architectural
- Liaising with the architect of JEC-P to understand the current status of the design
- Ensuring the architect delivers the rest of the design work, as per the MoU and per the timeline
Bill of Quantities
- Preparing Bill of Quantities once the desired information is received from the
- Budgeting the Centre in a modular fashion, each module is a self-contained unit
Skills and competencies
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
- Time-management and supervisory skills
- Comfortable reading and understanding of blueprints and drawings
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
- Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
- High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Detail-oriented, has strong math skills, and should be a team player.
- Should display above-average decision-making, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities.
- CAD software – used to create project plans
- Project management concepts – from cost estimation to implementation processes, civil project managers need to be schooled in all aspects of project management processes
- Microsoft Office applications – used for communicating with subcontractors, construction site managers, vendors, and other professionals
- Building codes and safety regulations – civil project managers need to be familiar with all federal and local codes and safety guidelines relevant to the project they are working on
Qualifications for a Construction Project Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in building construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture
- 5-7 years of experience in project management.
Location:
This is a full-time position, and the Manager will be based at Bangalore, Belgaum or the client’s project site
Compensation and Benefits:
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Deoria, Uttar Pradesh: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
