Civil Engineer

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with creating an engineering plan for land development based on their calculations and any research conducted. They should have experience with AutoCAD and be able to utilize strong design skills in order to create visual aids. By utilizing strong organizational and communication skills, this candidate will also have the ability to execute a project based on the criteria outlined. 

We are looking for Civil Engineers with minimum 3 years of experience

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing of concrete products, construction, precast concrete, or ready-mixed concrete.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings; basic knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Understanding of concrete, its components, and the manufacturing processes of precast and other concrete products. Experience in in-house testing of concrete products and raw materials will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with international standards such as ASTM, BS, and EN related to concrete materials and products.
• Fairly proficient in written and verbal communication in English.
• Competent in using Microsoft Word and Excel for daily documentation and reporting.
• Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 documentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor precast concrete production processes to ensure adherence to quality control and quality assurance standards.  Maintain and manage documentation, including production reports, quality records, and internal/external test reports, in both soft and hard formats.
• Review project specifications to identify relevant sections pertaining to concrete products and raw materials, and prepare Compliance Statements, Comparison Statements and Technical Submissions accordingly.
• Coordinate with internal and external testing laboratories to perform tests on raw materials and finished products as per the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) and verify results against project specifications / standards.
• Liaise with calibration agencies to ensure timely calibration of monitoring and measuring devices in accordance with the Calibration Plan.
• Coordinate with the production team and raw material suppliers to obtain and maintain required documentation such as Material Test Certificates (MTCs), test reports, data sheets, and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
