Position: Civil Engineer

Role Overview The Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing site execution, ensuring that construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, experience working on UAE construction projects, and the ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision & Execution • Supervise day-to-day civil works including excavation, concreting, blockwork, plastering, and finishing. • Ensure construction activities follow approved drawings, project specifications, and safety standards. • Monitor site progress and resolve technical issues related to civil works.

2. Technical Coordination • Coordinate with consultants, architects, MEP teams, and subcontractors. • Review and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and method statements. • Provide technical guidance and clarifications to site teams.

3. Quality Control & Compliance • Conduct inspections for formwork, reinforcement, concrete placement, and finishing. • Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, RTA, and other authority standards. • Maintain checklists, quality logs, and inspection reports.

4. Planning & Documentation • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. • Assist with BBS, material requisitions, and work schedules. • Track material consumption and compare with BOQ/estimates.

5. Safety & Risk Management • Ensure safety protocols are followed on-site. • Identify potential risks or hazards and report them promptly. • Coordinate with HSE teams to ensure compliance with UAE safety standards.

6. Coordination with Management • Attend site meetings and update Project Manager on progress. • Assist in preparing cost estimates, variations, and planning documents.

Required Qualifications & Skills • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. • 5–8 years of experience in civil construction projects . • Strong understanding of UAE building codes and authority regulations. • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and basic Primavera. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Preferred Attributes • Experience in high-rise, villas, commercial, or infrastructure projects. • Knowledge of Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DM approvals, and UAE processes. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
