Role Description

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Operational Leadership:

• Oversee all logistics operations, including first mile, middle mile, last mile, warehousing, transportation, and security operations across multiple regions in India.
• Coordinate closely with regional managers and operational teams to ensure efficiency, service quality, and process compliance.
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business goals.

P&L Management:

• Manage overall profitability and cost optimization across all logistics verticals.
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, and forecasts.
• Identify operational efficiencies and implement initiatives to improve margins.

Security and Loss Prevention (SLP):

• Oversee security and loss prevention initiatives across all logistics operations.
• Lead and support a team of SLP managers in conducting audits, preventing losses, and ensuring compliance with security standards.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate risks and prevent fraud or operational losses.
• Maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders regarding security and compliance requirements.

Business Development:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, clients, and strategic partnerships.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, including major e-commerce and retail partners.
• Contribute to strategic planning and market expansion initiatives.

Innovation & Process Improvement:

• Champion a culture of innovation to improve operations, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
• Lead implementation of technology solutions and automation projects.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory developments to maintain competitive advantage.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams across regions and operational functions, including operations, SLP, and support functions.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
• Ensure teams are aligned with company objectives and client expectations.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in logistics,

  preferably with prior experience at Amazon

  or similar high-volume logistics environments.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale, end-to-end logistics operations across multiple geographies.
• Experience overseeing security and loss prevention functions within logistics or supply chain operations.
• Deep understanding of the logistics ecosystem—including first mile, warehousing, transportation, and last mile delivery.
• Solid P&L management skills and strong financial acumen.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
• Strong business development and client relationship management experience.
• Highly energetic, proactive, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi or other regional languages is a plus).
• Willingness to travel extensively across India.
