Job Description

Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)

Bangalore / Pune or Hyderabad

Industry: Global Capability Center (GCC)

Reporting To: CEO / Global HR Leadership

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the

    HR strategy

    aligned with global corporate goals and GCC growth plans
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and global leadership on people, culture, and organizational effectiveness
  • Build a scalable HR operating model to support rapid growth

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead large-scale hiring across technology, operations, shared services, and leadership roles
  • Design employer branding and campus/market hiring strategies
  • Partner with staffing vendors, RPOs, and leadership teams for talent supply

Talent Management & Leadership Development

  • Establish performance management, succession planning, and leadership development frameworks
  • Drive learning, upskilling, and future-ready capability building
  • Coach senior leaders and GCC heads

Culture, Engagement & DEI

  • Build a strong organizational culture aligned with global values
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and DEI initiatives
  • Lead change management during transformation and scaling phases

Compensation, Benefits & Rewards

  • Design competitive compensation, benefits, and rewards programs aligned with global benchmarks
  • Ensure internal equity and market competitiveness

HR Operations, Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with

    Indian labor laws

    , statutory requirements, and HR governance standards
  • Oversee HR operations including payroll, HRIS, policies, and audits
  • Manage employee relations and risk mitigation

Global Collaboration

  • Partner with global HR COEs (Talent, Rewards, L&D, HR Tech)
  • Ensure alignment between global HR policies and local execution

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 15 - 20 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with

    CHRO / HR Head experience preferred

  • Proven experience building and scaling

    GCCs / Captive Centers / Global In-house Centers

    in India
  • Strong exposure to technology, shared services, or multinational environments
  • Deep knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR compliance
  • Experience working with global stakeholders and matrix organizations
  • MBA / PG in HR or equivalent qualification
