Job Summary:

Chemist (Fresher)

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and analyse water and wastewater samples as per standard operating procedures.
• Perform chemical and microbiological tests to ensure treated water meets regulatory norms.
• Maintain accurate records of test results and prepare daily/weekly water quality reports.
• Support plant operations by providing timely data to the operations team.
• Monitor chemical dosing levels and assist in maintaining inventory of laboratory consumables.
• Assist in calibration, cleaning, and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Learn and adhere to ISO standards and quality management systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:

  B.Sc., Environmental Science, or related field.
• Understanding of basic chemistry concepts and laboratory safety.
• Familiarity with water/wastewater analysis methods (preferred, but not mandatory).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

Work Environment:

• Plant-based role; involves working in both laboratory and field environments.
• May require working in shifts and weekends based on operational needs.
