About the Role:

India Center Head – Telecom

Key Responsibilities:

Telecom Delivery Oversight:

• Lead nationwide

  network deployment programs

  , including wireless, wireline, and FTTx rollouts.
• Drive large-scale

  fiber optic infrastructure projects

  – from trenching and splicing to testing and commissioning.
• Oversee

  data center setup and operations

  including rack & stack, structured cabling, cooling, and uptime management.
• Ensure compliance with telecom regulations and customer SLAs across all projects.

India Center Setup & Administration:

• Identify and finalize strategic

  India center location

  based on operational, cost, and talent availability parameters.
• Plan and execute

  infrastructure build-out

  – including interiors, IT setup, utilities, and physical security.
• Oversee onboarding of all

  support functions

  : HR, Admin, Facilities, IT Support, Procurement, and Security.
• Ensure the center meets compliance, safety, and workplace regulations (labor laws, statutory clearances, etc.).
• Create a sustainable

  operational playbook

  for future expansion or replication in other cities.

People & Delivery Management:

• Build, scale, and lead cross-functional teams in network operations, engineering, project management, and service delivery.
• Drive

  hiring, training, and organizational design

  for efficient execution and governance.
• Own client satisfaction, program P&L, and continuous improvement initiatives across all delivery units.
• Establish vendor ecosystems and service partners to support deployment and facility operations.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 15+ years

  of experience in telecom infrastructure, with strong exposure to

  fiber rollout

  ,

  network deployment

  , and

  data center operations

  .
• Proven experience in

  setting up new operational centers

  or leading regional hubs from ground up.
• Strong understanding of

  real estate selection

  ,

  facility build-outs

  , and

  center administration workflows

  .
• Demonstrated success in managing large cross-geography projects and telecom infrastructure programs.
• Ability to interact with senior leadership and drive outcomes across delivery, facilities, and client engagement.
• Familiarity with tools, standards, and regulations related to telecom rollout, facility safety, and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Telecom, Electrical, Civil, or related disciplines)
• PMP/ITIL or Infrastructure Facility Management certifications a plus
• Experience working with global telecom clients and standards
