Role Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Category Merchandiser to oversee stock management, sales performance, and inventory planning for a specific category across Meena Bazaars retail outlets. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the buying, planning, and pricing teams to drive sales, profitability, and inventory efficiency, while ensuring optimal product presentation across all locations. Key Responsibilities: Category Analysis & KPI Management: Develop and refine structures for store-level category analysis using MS Excel, aligned with the organizations ERP systems. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure category success and growth. Stock Allocation & Replenishment: Execute weekly stock allocation and replenishment from the central warehouse to stores using LIFO and other analytical methods. Optimize inventory levels to meet demand without overstocking. Collaboration & Category Management: Work closely with the Category Planner, Buyer, and Pricing Executive to drive category sales, profitability, and growth. Contribute to the overall performance and strategy of the assigned category. Inventory Movement & Control: Conduct inter-branch stock transfers (both physical and digital), especially for slow-moving inventory, as per company policy. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure maximum rotation and minimize dead stock. Visual Merchandising & Store Visits: Ensure attractive and consistent stock displays across all Meena Bazaar retail outlets. Conduct a minimum of 12 retail store visits monthly across Delhi-NCR to assess performance and implement action plans based on data analysis. Outstation Store Support: Plan and execute visits to outstation stores at least twice annually, with travel scheduled two months in advance. Slow-Moving & Dead Stock Management: Create and implement cost-effective strategies for clearing or repurposing slow-moving and dead stock. Product Lifecycle Management: Apply product life cycle principles at both the company and store level to optimize assortment planning and inventory decisions. Vendor Coordination: Liaise with vendors for existing and upcoming orders, ensuring timely follow-ups and order fulfillment. Institutional Sales Development: Identify and pursue institutional sales opportunities (e.g., for events like Teachers Day, or uniforms for hotels, banks, etc.). E-Commerce Store Oversight: Independently manage inventory and sales operations for MBZ.in as a separate online store entity. Required Skills & Qualifications: 57 years of relevant experience in retail merchandising Proficient in MS Office, especially advanced MS Excel Strong analytical and numerical skills Ability to think strategically and manage inventory effectively High attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset Excellent communication, collaboration, and follow-up skills Positive attitude with an ambition to grow Strong listening and interpersonal skills Team-oriented and flexible approach to work
