Job Title: Category Growth & Marketing Strategy Lead

Location: Mumbai, India

Experience: 5–8 years

Industry: FMCG / E-commerce / Retail


About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic professional to lead Category Growth & Marketing Strategy, responsible for creating annual growth plans for all categories and bringing them to life in collaboration with marketing teams. The role involves deep consumer understanding, developing data-driven insights, and executing brand-specific marketing strategies to drive category performance and achieve business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Understand the consumer for each category and develop actionable insights to recruit new customers and grow category performance.
  • Develop, establish, and execute marketing strategies and plans aligned with business objectives, working closely with e-commerce and marketing teams.
  • Translate growth ambitions, brand plans, trends, and business intelligence into a Category-Brand Plan — broken down into quarterly and monthly action plans.
  • Own the user journey (onsite & offsite) in collaboration with site and marketing teams.
  • Define category growth by segment, contribution, and brand.
  • Identify key drivers and create consumer-first plans.
  • Champion deep category understanding and create best-in-class, brand-specific growth plans.
  • Deliver creative and distinctive campaign strategies for categories and key brands, including 360° communications for major brand launches.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to derive insights from data and consumer behavior.
  • Excellent project management and process design skills.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders and peers.
  • Self-starter with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Relationship builder with experience in managing cross-functional dependencies.


Experience Required:


  • Prior experience in brand building roles in FMCG preferred.
  • Proven ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in marketing, brand management, or category growth roles.
