Category Manager- Men's or Womens Apparel

Key Responsibilities

  • Category Ownership

    : Manage and grow the Women’s Clothing category, ensuring product depth, diversity, and alignment with Sevora’s luxury positioning.
  • Assortment Planning

    : Curate product collections with the right balance of premium, affordable luxury, and trend-driven offerings.
  • Brand & Vendor Management

    : Identify, onboard, and nurture relationships with designers, fashion houses, and suppliers to ensure exclusive and high-quality collections.
  • Market & Trend Analysis

    : Track fashion trends, consumer insights, and competitor activity to guide assortment strategy.
  • P&L Management

    : Own the category’s sales performance, margins, and inventory planning while optimizing costs and profitability.
  • Customer Experience

    : Collaborate with marketing, operations, and styling teams to deliver a seamless "Try Before You Buy" experience tailored to high-end customers.
  • Campaign Collaboration

    : Work closely with marketing teams to create category-focused campaigns, lookbooks, and seasonal edits.
  • Data-Driven Decisions

    : Monitor KPIs such as sales growth, customer retention, and product performance; refine strategies accordingly.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–8 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or buying (fashion industry experience required).
  • Strong knowledge of women’s fashion, luxury retail, and consumer trends.
  • Proven track record in vendor negotiations, assortment building, and P&L ownership.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Passion for fashion, luxury, and creating exceptional customer experiences.
