Calibration Engineer

Job SummaryThe Calibration Engineer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of measuring and test equipment used in manufacturing, laboratory, or field operations. This role involves performing calibration, and documentation in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements of NABL & FDAS. Key Responsibilities Perform calibration of measuring and test equipment (mechanical, electrical, electronic, pressure, temperature, dimensional, etc.) Develop, review, and maintain calibration procedures and schedules Ensure traceability of measurements to national and international standards (e.g., ISO, NIST) Maintain calibration records, certificates, and databases Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and initiate corrective and preventive actions Support internal and external audits related to calibration systems Evaluate and qualify external calibration service providers Troubleshoot measurement system issues and recommend improvements Ensure compliance with quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, GMP, FDA, or relevant industry regulations Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams Train technicians and operators on proper use and care of calibrated equipment Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electronics, or related field) 1–5 years of experience in calibration, metrology, or quality engineering (experience level adjustable) Strong knowledge of measurement principles and metrology Familiarity with calibration standards and regulatory requirements Experience using calibration tools and software systems Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Good documentation and reporting skills Proficiency in MS Office and calibration management systems Effective communication
