Job Description

We are looking for a Business Strategy Consultant/ Intern.

Duration: 2 months

Location: Hyderabad (on-site)


We are looking for a highly motivated individual to help conceptualize and establish a new department within the Wealth Management business. The goal is to find untapped prospects, assess business models, and create a structured plan for department launch and expansion. The engagement will be project-based and outcome-driven, resulting in a full business plan and execution roadmap. 


Phase 1: Industry Understanding and Landscape Mapping

  1. Conduct a thorough examination of the loans industry landscape, including developing trends, regulatory environment, and customer expectations.
  2. Benchmark major players in India and around the world to uncover new business models, service gaps, and growth prospects.
  3. Examine the company's present service offerings and seek advantages for the new department.


Phase 2: Market Research and External Interactions

  1. Conduct systematic interviews and field interactions with relevant parties and industry experts to gain insights.
  2. Evaluate client pain points, gaps, and opportunities for a new vertical to add meaningful value. 


Phase 3: Business Plan Formulation

  1. Develop a thorough business plan that details the target clientele, service portfolio, positioning, and extent of the proposed department.
  2. Build detailed financial models with forecasts for scalability, cost structure, breakeven analysis, and income sources.
  3. Describe the governance systems, process flows, KPIs, and manpower needs. 


Phase 4: Presentation and Implementation

  1. Develop and present the final strategy deck that includes both immediate and long-term action items.
  2. Make suggestions on the marketing strategy, launch plan, and integration with current operations.


Expected Deliverables:

  1. Detailed Business Plan for the new department (financial, structural, operational).
  2. Implementation Roadmap with timelines, key enablers, and risk mitigation strategies.


Skills Required:

-Strong understanding of finance, investments, and wealth management principles.

-Proficiency in strategic planning.

-Strong communication and presentation skills.

-An analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize large volumes of data into actionable insights.

-Prior experience or coursework in wealth management, strategy consulting, or business development.


Ideal Backgroud:

-MBA student (Finance / Strategy / General Management)

-External consultant with demonstrated experience in financial services or strategic business planning.


Learning & Exposure:

-Hands-on exposure to the strategic and operational side of wealth management.

-Opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and financial advisors.

-Practical understanding of business design, client experience, and market positioning in the wealth industry.


Engagement Type:

-Short-term project with defined milestones.

-Stipend / Consulting Fee based on experience.
