We operate at the intersection of smart cities, sustainability, and innovation, helping city administrators and private stakeholders deploy cutting-edge IoT-led solutions at scale. This role will support our global business expansion by helping us identify and reach new potential partners and clients.


Role Overview

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, research-savvy intern to assist our Business Development and Founding teams in identifying and organizing data on potential clients across global markets. You will be responsible for researching relevant companies in the smart infrastructure/IoT/public utilities space, gathering contact details and key stakeholder information, and managing outreach efforts via LinkedIn, email, etc.


Key Responsibilities


Market & Company Research

  • Identify potential client companies aligned with CITiLIGHT’s offerings (e.g., smart lighting, urban infrastructure, sustainability).
  • Collect relevant information such as company name, website, domain focus, location, and current smart infrastructure initiatives.


Stakeholder Mapping

  • Identify and compile key decision-makers (e.g., CXOs, VP Engineering, Urban Planners, Innovation Heads).
  • Gather email addresses, LinkedIn profiles, and role descriptions for outreach readiness.


CRM & Sheet Management

  • Maintain a well-structured Google Sheet with updated records of:
  • Company details
  • Points of contact
  • Outreach stage/status
  • Follow-up dates and notes
  • Ensure high accuracy and ease of use for the internal BD team.


Collaboration & Reporting

  • Share regular progress updates with the manager.
  • Flag notable prospects, replies, or patterns for further action.
  • Suggest improvements to data collection processes as needed.


Ideal Candidate

Skills:

  • Strong internet research and data organization skills
  • Proficient in Google Sheets/Excel
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and basic outreach practices
  • Attention to detail and ownership mindset
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
