Business Development Team: The Growth Architects The Business Development (BD) team is at the heart of Komedy of Errors’ rapid and sustainable expansion. By forging strategic partnerships and identifying ideal franchise opportunities, BD lays the groundwork for every new outlet and fuels our broader mission to build a national coffee brand with minimal ownership of physical assets. Key Responsibilities Franchise Recruitment & Onboarding • Identify and engage passionate, capable entrepreneurs who align with the Komedy of Errors ethos. • Manage all legal, financial, and operational steps involved in onboarding new franchisees. • Guide franchisees through training programs to ensure they’re fully equipped to operate within our standards. Partnership Development • Develop relationships with third-party venues—such as bookstores, retail hubs, and corporate campuses—to launch branded pop-up cafés or modular setups. • Structure equitable, performance-based revenue-sharing agreements that incentivize long-term collaboration. • Ensure partners uphold quality, consistency, and customer experience standards. Market Research & Location Analysis • Conduct competitive analysis, monitor consumer behavior, and track regional trends to identify high-potential areas for new cafés. • Work closely with Marketing to tailor offerings to specific demographics and locations. • Use data to inform franchise strategy and expansion priorities. Support & Performance Monitoring • Act as an ongoing point of contact for franchisees and partners. • Track outlet performance against KPIs and offer solutions or support to improve results. • Foster collaboration between external partners and internal departments for smooth day-to-day operations.
