Job Description

Job Summary The Loans & Insurance Sales Officer is responsible for generating business by selling loan and insurance products, acquiring new customers, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. The role focuses on meeting sales targets, ensuring compliance, and delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Identify and acquire new customers for loan and insurance products Promote and sell loan products such as personal loans, home loans, auto loans, business loans, and mortgage loans Sell life and general insurance products including health, motor, and term insurance Generate leads through field visits, referrals, cold calls, and networking Assess customer financial needs and recommend suitable loan and insurance solutions Explain product features, benefits, premiums, interest rates, and policy terms clearly Assist customers with documentation, application processing, and policy issuance Coordinate with internal credit, underwriting, and operations teams Ensure compliance with KYC, RBI, IRDAI, and company guidelines Maintain accurate sales records and update CRM systems Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets Skills & Qualifications Graduate in any discipline (Finance/Commerce preferred) Experience in loans or insurance sales is an advantage (freshers may apply) Strong communication, negotiation, and convincing skills Target-driven and self-motivated attitude Ability to build long-term customer relationships Basic understanding of loan processing and insurance policies Knowledge of KYC and regulatory requirements Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Number of loan disbursements completed Insurance policies sold and premium generated Lead conversion ratio Revenue and target achievement Customer satisfaction and retention Work Environment Field-based sales role with branch support Performance-based incentives and commissions Requires frequent travel within assigned territory Career Growth Path Sales Officer → Senior Sales Executive → Relationship Manager → Branch Sales Manager → Area / Regional Manager
