Job Description

Job Position​​: Manager – Business Development

Job Location​​: Indore (Work from Office)/Remote

 

Key Responsibilities:

For the Author (Talk Shows, Podcasts, InstaLive, Brand Endorsements):

1. Identify and pitch to relevant platforms, event organizers, corporate bodies, educational institutions, and brands for:

a. Motivational talks, panel discussions, literary festivals

b. Guest appearances on podcasts, InstaLive, and YouTube channels

c. Brand endorsement opportunities

2. Customize pitches based on the author’s persona, audience appeal, and brand alignment

3. Maintain an updated database of opportunities, event planners, podcast creators, and PR firms

For the Singer (Live Shows, Band Performances, Corporate Gigs):

1. Generate leads from event organizers, wedding planners, college fests, corporates, and hospitality venues

2. Promote availability and offerings of live solo/band performances

3. Pitch for ticketed concerts, destination weddings, and corporate evenings

4. Customize offerings based on budget, audience type, and occasion

Lead Management & Conversion:

1. Generate leads via cold outreach, email marketing, lead generating platforms, referrals, and industry networking

2. Develop proposals, pitch decks, artist profiles, and rate cards

3. Negotiate commercials, inclusions, and deliverables

4. Close deals independently and ensure all verbal and written communication is documented

Operational Execution:

1. Share contracts or MoUs with clients and follow up on signatures and advance payments

2. Raise invoices in coordination with the accounts team

3. Ensure payment collection in advance 

4. Coordinate with the client and internal team for:

a. Venue details, itinerary, and performance/presentation expectations

b. Booking of travel and accommodation through client or designated agency

c. Technical rider and hospitality requirements for performance or appearance

5. Handle last-minute client and artist requirements smoothly

Post-Event Follow-Up:

1. Collect testimonials, photographs, or PR content for portfolio enhancement

2. Maintain healthy client relationships for repeat business and referrals

5. Ability to manage pressure, deadlines, and artist expectations

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field

2. Prior experience in artist/talent management or event business is highly desirable
