Business Development Manager (Team Lead)

Job Overview:

Business Development Manager (Team Lead)

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Strategy

• Lead and manage a team of Business Development Executives.

• Develop and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual business plans and sales targets.
• Train, mentor, and motivate the sales team to exceed performance goals.

• Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

• Identify and build relationships with potential authors, academic institutions, and educational consultants.

• Pitch AGPH’s publishing solutions (print, digital, eBooks, ISBN, marketing, etc.).
• Maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.

• Institutional & Author Outreach

• Organize webinars, campus visits, or virtual sessions to promote AGPH services.

• Work closely with professors, researchers, and PhD scholars to understand their publishing needs.
• Represent AGPH at academic conferences, book fairs, and educational events.

• Sales Reporting & Market Analysis

• Track team performance and prepare weekly/monthly reports.

• Analyze trends, market competition, and customer feedback to suggest improvements in offerings.
• Collaborate with marketing and editorial teams to align business development with campaigns.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• 2+ years of proven experience in business development or academic/ed-tech publishing.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines and targets.
• Familiarity with academic publishing, ISBN, API Scores, or the educational ecosystem is a
