As a Business Development Manager - Solar at Sika, your role is pivotal in maximizing revenue, material margin, and market share in the Solar business segment. You will be responsible for deeply understanding customer needs, products, and applications to devise effective sales strategies, identify new opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and drive sales growth. Your primary focus will be on developing new business while managing existing accounts and providing technical and commercial support to ensure sales growth. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute the business strategy for the Solar business, aligned with defined key initiatives. - Drive revenue growth through new business acquisition, partnerships, and market expansion. - Identify industry trends, opportunities, and competitive threats to establish market leadership. - Ensure accurate financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. - Lead sales and marketing initiatives to drive product adoption, increase market share, and enhance brand visibility. - Collaborate with technical departments and R&D to drive innovation and introduce new products in line with market demands. - Align with Operations team to ensure smooth business transactions and compliance with industry regulations. - Foster strong relationships with senior management of customers and key stakeholders. **Qualifications/Experience/Education:** - Education: Masters/bachelors degree in engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred). - Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of experience in the solar industry with a proven track record in business development, sales, and strategic planning. - Skills: Strong business acumen, exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, analytical mindset, and ability to build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders. - Personal Attributes: Strategic thinker with a vision for long-term growth, innovative, solution-oriented, adaptable, strong decision-making capabilities, high integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
