Job Title: Business Development Manager (BDM) Job Summary: The Business Development Manager in the concrete precast products manufacturing industry will be responsible for identifying, developing, and driving new business opportunities, increasing market share, and nurturing relationships with clients in construction, infrastructure, and related sectors. The role requires an understanding of concrete precast products, their applications in various industries, and a proactive approach to growing sales through strategic marketing, networking, and relationship-building efforts. Key Responsibilities: Market Research & Business Strategy: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities in the concrete precast products sector, including both public and private sector projects. Develop and execute strategies to expand the company's market footprint by targeting key industries such as construction, infrastructure, utilities, and civil engineering. Analyse market trends, customer demands, and competitor activities to provide insights and develop effective business strategies. Lead Generation & Client Acquisition: Proactively identify potential clients, such as contractors, developers, engineers, architects, and municipalities, and build a robust pipeline of business opportunities. Generate new leads, develop relationships, and convert prospects into clients, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and product offerings. Drive the sales cycle from initial contact through to closing deals and ensuring successful project delivery. Proposal Development & Bid Management: Work closely with the technical, engineering, and production teams to create detailed and tailored proposals for concrete precast products that meet the specific needs of clients. Respond to RFPs (Request for Proposals), RFQs (Request for Quotes), and ITTs (Invitations to Tender), ensuring proposals are competitive, comprehensive, and aligned with client specifications. Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with clients and suppliers to ensure mutual benefit and long-term partnerships. Relationship Management & Customer Retention: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers, providing exceptional customer service throughout the project lifecycle. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, concerns, and inquiries to ensure complete satisfaction and repeat business. Engage with existing clients to explore new opportunities for upselling and cross-selling of precast products for upcoming projects. Sales Performance & Reporting: Set and achieve sales targets and business development goals, ensuring consistent growth in revenue and market share. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and progress toward business development objectives. Use CRM software to track leads, sales activities, and maintain accurate records of client communications and project developments. Collaboration & Internal Coordination: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, presentations, and campaigns that effectively highlight the benefits of the companys precast products. Coordinate with the production and engineering teams to ensure that client requirements are clearly communicated and met in product design, manufacturing, and delivery. Work with the finance and operations teams to ensure accurate cost estimation and delivery timelines for projects. Industry Networking & Representation: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to increase brand visibility and establish new business relationships. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in precast concrete manufacturing to position the company as a leader in the market. Product Knowledge & Innovation: Develop a deep understanding of the company's precast products, including their applications, manufacturing processes, and unique selling points. Collaborate with R&D and production teams to ensure products meet market needs and industry standards. Provide feedback to product development teams on market trends and customer preferences to help guide product innovation and improvement. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the business development team, ensuring they are aligned with organizational goals. Motivate and encourage team members to meet or exceed their targets and KPIs. Provide training and support for team development, ensuring the team is up- to-date with industry trends and best practices. Allow team members to make decisions within their scope of work. This not only boosts confidence but also encourages innovation and creativity in solving challenges. Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: MBA (Masters of Business Administration) Construction Management, or a related field. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Experience: 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the precast concrete, construction materials, or manufacturing industries. Strong knowledge of precast concrete products, their applications, and the construction industrys project delivery processes. Proven track record in sales, client acquisition, and relationship management in a B2B environment. Working in Construction Machinery Sales. Working in Construction Admixtures. Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong strategic thinking with the ability to analyse market trends and identify new opportunities. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools. Strong networking abilities and experience attending industry events and trade shows. Familiarity with contract negotiation, pricing, and project management. Experience: 10 to 15 Years, 5 Years in Precast Industry Preferred. Location: Nigdi, Pune ,Maharashtra.
