Job Summary:

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) in the Manufacturing Industry is responsible for managing and expanding sales within a designated geographic area. This includes developing client relationships, managing distribution channels, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring revenue growth for industrial/manufactured products such as machinery, components, equipment, or raw materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales of manufactured products in the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial clients, OEMs, dealers, and distributors.
  • Identify new business opportunities across industrial sectors (e.g., automotive, construction, engineering).
  • Ensure achievement of area sales targets and contribution to regional goals.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends; provide market intelligence reports.
  • Collaborate with the production, logistics, and technical teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Participate in pricing, tenders, and contract negotiations with clients.
  • Monitor and ensure timely collections and adherence to credit policies.
  • Conduct technical/product presentations and training for customers and channel partners.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (Mechanical/Electrical preferred); MBA is a plus.
  • 5–8 years of B2B industrial sales experience, preferably in a manufacturing setup.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial supply chains.
  • Proven experience in handling large/key accounts and industrial clients.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings/specifications (if applicable).
  • Proficiency in CRM and MS Office tools.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
