About the Role

Business Development Manager (Non-Team Managing Role)

What You’ll Do

Student Acquisition & Counseling

  • Counsel prospective students about IIDE’s digital marketing programs and help them choose the right course based on their goals and background.
  • Engage with students and parents via telephonic, virtual, and in-person interactions to address queries and provide detailed program information.
  • Offer career guidance by clearly explaining program outcomes and industry opportunities.

Sales & Revenue Achievement

  • Achieve individual daily, weekly, and monthly enrollment and revenue targets.
  • Maintain a high lead-to-enrollment conversion rate through timely and effective follow-ups.
  • Use CRM and sales automation tools to manage leads, track pipelines, and monitor performance metrics.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and academic teams to ensure smooth student onboarding and experience.
  • Handle escalations and complex student concerns independently and professionally.

Additional Duties

  • Take ownership of high-priority leads and larger student cohorts when required.
  • Contribute suggestions to improve sales processes, counseling quality, and overall customer experience.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by management aligned with the scope of the role.

Who You Are

Must-Have

  • 1–8 years of experience in sales, business development, or student counseling, preferably in the EdTech sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
  • Target-driven mindset with a strong inclination toward sales and consultative counseling.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and sales automation tools.

Should Have

  • Ability to manage multiple leads and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and self-motivation as an individual contributor.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in student counseling or EdTech sales roles.
  • Exposure or interest in digital marketing, education, or career counseling domains.
