Role Summary

Business Development Manager

What you’ll do

  • Build and manage a

    B2B pipeline

    (schools, activity centers, malls, retail chains, resellers).
  • Lead

    outreach, demos, and negotiations

    ; craft proposals and MoUs; close deals with clear ROI stories.
  • Plan and execute

    on-ground activations

    (stalls, workshops, camps) to drive trials, leads, and sales.
  • Grow

    D2C funnels

    with local partnerships, micro-influencers, and parent communities.
  • Own

    account management

    : onboarding, replenishments, visibility, co-marketing calendars.
  • Coordinate with marketing for

    joint campaigns, POS materials, and lead follow-ups

    .
  • Maintain accurate

    CRM

    : pipeline stages, forecasts, win/loss insights.
  • Report weekly on targets, revenue, unit economics, and next actions.

What you’ll bring

  • 2–5 years in

    Business Development / Sales

    (education, toys, FMCG, retail, or startup preferred).
  • Strong

    prospecting, pitching, and closing

    skills; comfort with targets and fieldwork.
  • Excellent communication; ability to translate product value into

    parent/school outcomes

    .
  • Working knowledge of

    CRM/Sheets

    ; data-driven approach to forecasting and territory planning.
  • Hustle, ownership, and a partnership mindset.

Success metrics (KPIs)

  • New partner sign-ups / month & active accounts
  • Monthly

    GMV/units

    from B2B & events
  • Lead-to-deal conversion rate & cycle time
  • Repeat orders / account retention
  • Contribution margin from partnerships/events

Nice to have

  • Network with

    schools, malls, kids’ activity centers

    in Kozhikode/Malabar.
  • Experience running

    events/exhibitions

    and field teams.
  • Basic comfort with WhatsApp Business and simple POS/ordering tools.

Kozhikode (Hybrid: field visits + office + WFH flexibility)
