Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence in Bangalore's commercial electrical solutions sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets for our SITC (Supply, Installation, Testing & Commissioning) services and electrical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Identify and develop new business opportunities
for electrical SITC projects in commercial, industrial, and institutional sectorsGenerate leads
through market research, networking, and relationship building with potential B2B clientsPrepare and present proposals
for electrical solutions including cost estimates and project timelinesNegotiate contracts
and close deals while maintaining profitable marginsAchieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
as defined by managementDevelop strategic partnerships
with architects, consultants, contractors, and facility management companies.
Market Intelligence & Networking
Maintain extensive network
with local electrical contractors, OE suppliers, and industry stakeholders in BangaloreStay updated
on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in electrical solutions marketAttend industry events
, trade shows, and networking forums to build business relationshipsIdentify key decision makers
in target organizations and establish strong business relationships
Client Relationship Management
Manage end-to-end sales cycle
from lead generation to project handover including collectionMaintain long-term relationships
with existing clients to ensure repeat business and referralsConduct regular client meetings
and follow-ups to understand evolving needsCoordinate with technical teams
to ensure accurate project scoping and pricingHandle client queries
and provide technical consultation on electrical solutions
Administrative & Reporting
Maintain accurate sales records
in MS Excel and CRM systemsPrepare regular sales reports
and business forecasts for management reviewTrack project pipeline
and conversion ratesCoordinate with operations team
for smooth project execution and delivery
Essential Requirements
Experience & Background
Minimum 2.5-3 years of experience
in business development/sales in Bangalore's electrical/engineering services marketProven track record
in B2B sales with focus on electrical contractors, facility management, or commercial projectsEstablished network
with local electrical equipment vendors, OE suppliers, and industry contacts in BangaloreExperience in selling
electrical SITC services, MEP solutions, or similar technical services
Technical Knowledge
Sound understanding
of electrical systems, components, and commercial installation practicesKnowledge of electrical project estimation
and costing methodologiesFamiliarity with industry standards
and electrical safety regulationsUnderstanding of tender processes
and government/corporate procurement procedures
Core Skills
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
including data analysis, pivot tables, and sales trackingExcellent negotiation skills
with ability to close complex B2B dealsOutstanding communication skills
in English with professional presentation abilitiesWorking knowledge of Kannada
to effectively communicate with local vendors, contractors, and clientsStrong analytical skills
