Role Overview

Business Development Manager – EdTech Sales

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Generation

  • Identify and close new business opportunities in the education domain.
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute scalable sales plans to achieve business objectives.

Team Leadership & Sales Enablement

  • Manage and lead a team of admission counsellors to maximize productivity.
  • Train, coach, and guide team members to improve sales techniques and conversion rates.
  • Monitor performance and motivate the team to achieve KPIs.

Client Handling & Counselling

  • Understand student/professional requirements and provide relevant educational solutions.
  • Handle high-value client interactions and ensure excellent customer experience.
  • Ensure consistent follow-ups and drive closure of leads.

Reporting & CRM Management

  • Track sales metrics and maintain dashboards in CRM systems.
  • Prepare performance reports and share insights with senior management.
  • Optimize lead pipelines and conversion funnels based on data analytics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience:

    5–7 years in B2C Sales, preferably in EdTech or academic counselling.
  • Proven experience in leading high-performance sales teams.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage time and resources effectively.
  • Proficient in using CRM tools (Zoho, Salesforce, etc.) and MS Office Suite.
