Job Title: Business Development Lead / Manager Edutech Location: Chennai Job Type: Full-Time | Immediate Joiner Experience: 5+ Years in BD/Sales (Preferably in Edutech or SaaS) CTC: As per Industry Standards + Attractive Performance Incentives Role Overview We are looking for an energetic and results-driven Business Development Lead/Manager to Lead BD/Sales Team and drive institutional engagement and revenue growth . You will be leading a high-performance sales team, building long-term partnerships with colleges and universities and positioning our Learning & Developments solutions to academic stakeholders. This is a leadership role that requires strong communication, sales acumen and passion for the education sector. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a BD/sales team to achieve and exceed monthly revenue targets. Connect with top universities and colleges across India to position our Academia solutions . Conduct impactful presentations, webinars and public speaking engagements with institutional stakeholders (College Management, HODs, TPOs, etc.). Research and prospect academic institutions to develop tailored value propositions. Work closely with college stakeholders to explore and implement various engagement models. Travel to institutions for in-person meetings, demos and relationship-building. Drive lead conversion from inbound and marketing-generated leads. Represent the company at education-related offline and online events. Coach and mentor the team to boost performance, accountability, and customer focus. Collaborate with product and marketing teams to align messaging and strategies. Monitor sales pipeline, forecast revenues, and provide regular performance reports. Candidate Requirements 5+ years of experience in B2B/B2C sales, preferably in Edutech, SaaS or education services. Immediate joiners preferred. Excellent communication and public speaking skills confident, fluent and influential. Strong leadership and people management skills. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets. Hands-on experience in consultative selling, objection handling and lead conversion . Proficiency in CRM tools and sales process optimization. Willingness to travel frequently for institutional engagements.
