Job Title: Business Development Executive

Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and driven Sales Professional with 2–3 years of experience in lead generation, prospecting, and client engagement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building a strong pipeline of potential customers, initiating conversations through cold outreach, scheduling qualified meetings for senior managers, and managing assigned client accounts independently.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys high-energy sales environments, communicates confidently, and takes ownership of results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prospecting & Lead Generation

  • Conduct research to identify potential clients across relevant industries.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of leads using CRM tools and platforms.
  • Generate new business opportunities through targeted outreach.

2. Cold Calling & Outreach

  • Make daily outbound calls to prospects and convert them into qualified leads.
  • Draft and send engaging outreach emails, follow-ups, and introductory messages.
  • Handle objections professionally and nurture interest until handover.

3. Scheduling Client Meetings for Managers

  • Fix high-quality meetings and demos for the sales managers/senior leadership.
  • Ensure meeting readiness by sharing agendas, client background, and expectations.
  • Follow up with clients post-meeting to support next steps.

4. Client Engagement & Account Handling

  • Manage your own set of small to mid-sized accounts confidently.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Identify up-selling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.

5. Pipeline & Reporting

  • Update CRM with all lead interactions, call notes, and scheduling details.
  • Prepare weekly & monthly reports on lead generation, conversions, and activity metrics.
  • Track progress against KPIs (calls, meetings booked, qualified leads, closures supported).

Required Skills & Competencies

  • 2–3 years of experience in Business Development / Inside Sales / Lead Generation.
  • Strong communication, persuasion, and presentation skills.
  • High confidence in cold calling and handling objections.
  • Ability to research prospects and personalise outreach.
  • Good understanding of sales funnels, pipelines, and CRM tools.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and target orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
  • Experience in B2B sales or tech/SaaS/marine/education sectors is a plus.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn outreach, email automation, or sales enablement tools.
