Business Development Executive (BDE)
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and generate new business opportunities for IT services and software projects.
- Prospect through multiple channels including LinkedIn, email campaigns, cold calling, and referrals, visits etc.
- Research target industries, clients, and competitors to identify potential opportunities.
Client Interaction & Requirement Analysis
- Engage with domestic and international clients to understand business and technical requirements.
- Conduct initial requirement discussions and coordinate with technical teams for feasibility.
- Prepare and deliver company presentations, proposals, and capability decks.
Sales & Proposal Management
- Prepare project proposals, quotations, RFP/RFQ responses, and cost estimations.
- Negotiate pricing, timelines, and commercial terms with clients.
- Convert leads into confirmed projects and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
Account & Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.
- Act as a single point of contact during pre-sales and early project phases.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure smooth project handover.
Reporting & CRM
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and sales activities in CRM tools.
- Track sales pipelines, conversion ratios, and revenue forecasts.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in IT business development or software sales.
- Strong understanding of IT services such as:
- Web & Mobile App Development
- Cloud & DevOps
- AI/ML Solutions
- Enterprise Software & ERP
- Digital Transformation
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience working with global clients (US, UK, Middle East, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, proposal documentation, and bidding platforms.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience in government tenders, RFPs, or enterprise sales.
- Knowledge of project costing, AMC, SLA, and licensing models.
- Ability to understand basic technical architecture and translate it into business value.
- Experience working in a startup or fast-paced IT environment.
