Job Description

Business Development Engineer – Water & Wastewater Solutions


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify, approach, and develop new business opportunities in water treatment equipment sales.
  • Establish relationships with industrial clients, EPC contractors, consultants, and government agencies.
  • Understand customer requirements and suggest suitable water treatment solutions.
  1. Technical Consultation & Solution Selling:

  • Provide technical support and present customized solutions for ETP/STP/RO/UF/Anaerobic Digesters plants.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Suggest the right water treatment equipment (pumps, filters, membranes, dosing systems, etc.) based on customer needs.
  1. Sales Planning & Execution:

  • Develop sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals and quotations.
  • Follow up on sales inquiries, tenders, and negotiations to close deals.
  1. Market Research & Competitor Analysis:

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
  • Provide feedback to the management on product improvement and customer requirements.
  1. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Maintain relationships with existing clients and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Address post-sales technical queries and coordinate with service teams.
  1. Reporting & Coordination:

  • Maintain accurate sales records and submit weekly/monthly reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, design, service) to ensure smooth execution of orders.

Qualification:


Key Skills & Requirements:

 3-5 years of proven experience in selling water treatment projects / equipment.

 Strong knowledge of ETP/STP/RO/UF/DM plant technologies.

 Good understanding of pumps, membranes, filters, dosing systems, and other water treatment components.

 Ability to prepare and present techno-commercial proposals.

 Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.

 Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and report preparation.

 Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings and business development.
