Business Analyst: Utility Business (Power, Gas or Water)

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Project Lead with hands-on expertise in the utilities industry (Power, Gas, or Water). The ideal candidate will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of utility application projects - managing requirements analysis, functional design, implementation, and stakeholder alignment to drive business transformation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business requirement gathering, process mapping, and solution design for utility applications.
• Collaborate with business users, technical teams, and vendors to translate functional needs into system requirements and project deliverables.
• Drive project planning, tracking, and reporting to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Conduct gap analysis between current and future-state business processes.
• Define and manage user acceptance testing (UAT) plans, ensuring smooth deployment and adoption.
• Prepare documentation including business requirements documents (BRD), functional specifications, and process flow diagrams.
• Support change management, end-user training, and post go-live support activities.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational IT governance standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst or Project Lead in the utilities sector.
• Strong domain understanding of Power Distribution, Gas, or Water utilities operations (billing, metering, customer service, etc.).
• Proven experience in delivering enterprise-grade software or digital transformation projects.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques—requirement elicitation, process modeling, data analysis, and stakeholder management.
• Hands-on experience with utility applications such as SAP IS-U, Oracle Utilities, or similar platforms is desirable.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and coordination skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• MBA or certification in Business Analysis is a plus.

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
