Business Analyst (IT Software)

As a Business Analyst at Techsaga Corporation, you will be an integral part of our IT software development team, bridging the gap between business objectives and technical solutions. Your role will involve gathering and analyzing requirements, defining project scopes, and ensuring the successful delivery of software products that meet client needs. Responsibilities: Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements for software projects. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather comprehensive input. Pre-Sales Involvement: Support pre-sales activities by outlining the project scope of work, estimated timelines, and budgets. Participate in discussions to define high-level requirements and present feasible solutions to clients. Analysis and Documentation: Analyze gathered requirements to identify patterns, trends, and potential issues. Document detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria using standard templates and tools. Project Planning: Assist in project planning and estimation activities by providing input on resource requirements, timelines, and dependencies. Contribute to the creation of project plans, roadmaps, and sprint backlogs. Communication Bridge: Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Facilitate communication, manage expectations, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to define test scenarios, validate test cases, and participate in testing activities to ensure that developed solutions meet quality standards and user expectations. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains within the business analysis function. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and external partners, to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience (1-3 years) as a Business Analyst in the IT software industry, preferably within a software development or consulting environment. Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in documentation and analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint. Experience working with cross-functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and external partners. Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
