Role Overview

The Brand Activation Executive will play a crucial role in bringing the RIO InnoBev brands to life through engaging and effective on-ground activities. This individual will be responsible for executing brand activation strategies, managing promotional teams, and identifying new opportunities to create brand awareness and drive consumer pull, particularly among our target Gen Z audience. This is a dynamic role that requires a hands-on approach, strong organizational skills, and a passion for connecting with consumers.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Activation & Promotions:

  • Team Leadership:

    Handle and manage a team of promoters for various promotional activities, including conducting small grooming sessions on their roles, responsibilities, and body language.
  • Event Management:

    Organize and execute both inbound and outbound events to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Sampling Initiatives:

    Conduct corporate sampling drives and gather feedback from targeted audiences to refine activation strategies.
  • Retail & On-Premises Placements:

    Actively work on securing product placements within college canteens, corporate offices, wine shops, and night pubs.
  • "Boom Sampling Car" Activities:

    Lead and execute retail activities leveraging the "Boom Sampling Car" to assist the sales team in opening new retail outlets.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

  • Vendor Relations:

    Manage existing vendors for POSV (Point of Sale Visibility) and POSM (Point of Sale Material).
  • Vendor Sourcing:

    Identify and onboard new, high-quality vendors for the production of various RIO branded merchandise ("goodies").
  • Sponsorships:

    Source and secure sponsorship opportunities to expand brand reach.

Market Research & Strategy:

  • Market Insights:

    Obtain and analyze market research on current trends, consumer needs, and desires within the beverage industry.
  • Strategy Development:

    Devise and present innovative ideas and strategies to create a strong "pull factor" for RIO products.
  • Marketing Planning:

    Plan and implement marketing strategies, including potentially altering brand images, reaching new target audiences, and managing activation budgets.

Sales & Brand Support:

  • Sales Team Collaboration:

    Provide direct support to the sales team in delivering agreed-upon brand activation activities.
  • Branding Opportunities:

    Identify and secure the best outlets for product branding to maximize visibility.
  • Brand Awareness:

    Actively contribute to creating awareness and developing the RIO brands (PULL FACTOR).
  • Customer Relationships:

    Communicate effectively with target audiences and build strong customer relationships.

General & Operational:

  • Database Management:

    Maintain and regularly update customer databases.
  • Team Support:

    Be ready to offer assistance and guidance to the promoter team if they are struggling or falling behind.
  • Ad-hoc Responsibilities:

    Be prepared to take on any additional responsibilities as assigned by the Brand Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in any field.
  • 3-4 years of proven experience in brand activation, field marketing, or similar roles, preferably within the FMCG or beverage industry.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify and cultivate vendor relationships.
  • Familiarity with event management and promotional activities.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive and dynamic approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to travel as required.
