Job Summary:

BIS Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure company’s products comply with BIS regulations under Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS), ISI Mark Scheme, (FMCS) Foreign Manufacturers Certification Scheme and other applicable standards.
• Manage the end-to-end BIS certification process including documentation, application filing, testing coordination, and liaison with BIS officers and labs.
• Maintain records of all licenses, renewals, and correspondence with BIS.
• Monitor regulatory updates from BIS and ensure proactive compliance with changes.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation including SOPs, process flow, test reports, certification and audit record.
• Ensure Compliance with latest BIS guidelines and maintain active tracking for renewals and license timelines.
• Conduct internal audits and compliance training for relevant departments.
• Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure components used in manufacturing also meet BIS requirements.
• Schedule periodic lab visits and interface with BIS officers for application status and clarification.
• Provide technical support and updates to clients throughout the certification lifecycle.
• Submit timely reports and updates to senior management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably with hands-on BIS certification management.
• In-depth knowledge of BIS regulations, CRS/ISI schemes, FMCS scheme, and relevant product standards.
• Strong documentation, audit preparation, and compliance monitoring capabilities.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and client management skills.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate problem-solving capabilities.
• Attention to detail with ability to handle multiple compliance projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of government portals related to BIS and compliance frameworks.
