Biodiversity Expert

Position - Biodiversity Expert Location: Mumbai Qualification: MSc/Master’s in Forestry, Botany, Zoology, Life Science or a closely related field . Experience - 2 - 4 Years Roles & Responsibilities :- Conduct biodiversity assessments across various ecosystems. Identify and document flora and fauna using standardized biodiversity survey techniques. Collect, analyze, and interpret scientific data for accurate reporting and documentation. Utilize basic GIS tools for mapping and spatial analysis in biodiversity projects. Coordinate and manage field activities, including team supervision and logistics. Participate in ecological and environmental research initiatives. Perform any other duties consistent with the role and/or reasonably required by the Biodiversity Manager. Desirable Skills :- · Passionate and enthusiastic for the environment. · Project Management and Leadership skills to lead and manage different projects and teams. · Proficiency with a variety of biodiversity data collection tools and field techniques. · Capability to work efficiently in both field and office environments, showing flexibility and resilience in diverse working conditions. · Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and the local language, with the ability to interact effectively with field teams and high-level officials. · Solid computer literacy, particularly in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to contribute to project proposals and scientific reports. · Familiarity with biodiversity-related policies, conservation practices, and environmental regulations is an added advantage. · Experience in ecological surveys, nature conservation management, and writing biodiversity or conservation management plans. · Compulsory prior experience of Forestry/ Miyawaki Afforestation/ Biodiversity Park , Botanical Park development, Water conservation and Natural Resources Management. · Efficient written and verbal skills in English and local language to communicate with top official. · Good computer skills - MS Office (PowerPoint and Excel) Project proposals and report making.
