KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES BIM Modeling & Documentation:
- Create and update Revit 3D BIM models for mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing (MEP) systems using Autodesk Revit.
- Generate detailed 2D and 3D drawings, shop drawings, and coordination layouts.
- Ensure that models comply with project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and industry standards.
- Maintain a well-structured and organized model database. Coordination & Clash Detection:
- Assist in multidisciplinary coordination, including clash detection using Navisworks or BIM 360.
- Work closely with BIM Coordinators and project teams to resolve clashes and design conflicts.
- Update models based on design revisions, RFIs, and coordination meetings. Quality Control & Standards Compliance:
- Adhere to company BIM standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
- Perform self-checks and quality assurance on models to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure proper file structuring and data integrity within the Common Data Environment (CDE). Continuous Improvement & Learning:
- Stay updated with new BIM software tools, workflows, and industry trends.
- Support the team in implementing automation and efficiency improvements (e.g., Dynamo scripts).
- Participate in internal BIM training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities. BIM Management & Coordination:
- Lead the development, implementation, and management of BIM workflows and processes.
- Oversee project-specific BIM execution plans (BEP) and ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models and manage clash detection, issue tracking, and resolution.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to optimize BIM usage. Technical Leadership:
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in model development across all project phases.
- Supervise and guide BIM teams, including BIM Coordinators, Modelers, and Administrators.
- Manage data exchange and interoperability between different BIM platforms (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Dynamo).
- Stay updated on emerging BIM technologies and integrate best practices into the department’s workflows. Training & Development:
- Mentor and train BIM team members on advanced BIM tools, processes, and standards.
- Conduct internal BIM training sessions to enhance the technical capabilities of the team.
