Billing Executive

Job Title: Billing Executive - Retail Jewelry Store Department: Retail Operations / Accounts Reports To: Store Manager / Accounts Manager Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat Job Type: Full-time Experience Required: 1-3 years in retail billing (jewelry industry preferred) Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Executive to manage customer billing, invoicing, and payment processing at our retail jewelry showroom. The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical skills, knowledge of jewelry billing procedures, and the ability to handle high-value transactions with accuracy and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Generate accurate sales invoices and bills for gold, diamond, silver, and gemstone jewelry Calculate making charges, stone charges, GST, and other applicable taxes Process cash, card, UPI, and other payment methods securely Maintain daily sales records and prepare end-of-day sales reports Handle product exchanges, returns, and refund processing as per store policy Verify metal purity, weight, and pricing before billing Coordinate with sales staff to ensure smooth billing operations during peak hours Maintain customer database and update purchase history in the system Prepare and issue tax invoices with proper HSN codes and GST compliance Assist in physical stock verification and inventory reconciliation Handle customer queries related to billing, pricing, and payment options Ensure proper documentation for high-value transactions and gold/diamond purchases Maintain confidentiality of customer information and transaction details Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field 1-3 years of experience in retail billing (jewelry showroom experience preferred) Strong knowledge of jewelry terminology, metal rates, and pricing structure Proficiency in billing software and retail management systems Understanding of GST regulations and tax calculations Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and Gujarati Basic computer skills including MS Excel and accounting software Preferred Skills Familiarity with jewelry ERP systems (Jewel ML, Pragati, etc.) Knowledge of hallmarking standards and BIS certification Experience with digital payment systems and POS machines Understanding of gold ornament calculation methods Ability to work efficiently during festival seasons and high-traffic periods Personal Attributes High level of integrity and trustworthiness Professional appearance and courteous demeanor Ability to handle pressure during busy hours Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Customer-focused approach
