Business Development Manager – Modular Interiors
About The Opportunity
Operating in the Residential & Commercial Interior Design sector with a focus on modular interiors, fit-outs and bespoke furniture solutions across India. This role drives revenue by building customer pipelines, expanding dealer/channel networks and closing high-value projects for modular kitchens, wardrobes and interior systems. On-site role based in India with regular client and site visits.Role & Responsibilities
- Own territory P&L-driven business development for modular interiors: identify, qualify and convert leads across residential, retail and corporate segments.
- Build and manage relationships with architects, builders, contractors, dealers and channel partners to create a recurring pipeline.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals, BOQs and competitive quotations; lead negotiations and close contracts.
- Coordinate with design, operations and production teams to ensure accurate handoffs, timely deliveries and margin protection.
- Manage CRM pipeline, document opportunities, forecast sales and produce regular progress reports for leadership.
- Represent the company at client meetings, site surveys and industry events; drive conversion via product demos and sample approvals.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven B2B sales experience in modular interiors, furniture or interior fit-outs with demonstrated deal closures.
- Experience managing key accounts and building channel/dealer networks in the interiors or construction ecosystem.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce or Zoho CRM) and strong pipeline management practices.
- Competence in tendering, quotation preparation, estimating and cost control for interiors projects.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools to understand floor plans and communicate technical requirements.
- Comfortable with frequent client/site visits and managing cross-functional internal coordination.
Preferred
- Existing relationships with architects, builders, retail fit-out contractors or dealer networks.
- Exposure to modular kitchen and wardrobe product lines and specification sheets.
- Experience using proposal and pricing tools or ERP modules for order-to-delivery workflows.
