Job Title: Bartender

Position Summary:

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. They must ensure high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and drink quality while maintaining compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Beverage Preparation & Service:

  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes.
  • Suggest and upsell cocktails, mocktails, and premium brands to guests.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control for all drinks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area at all times.

2. Guest Interaction:

  • Greet guests courteously and take beverage orders promptly.
  • Provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by offering attentive and personalized service.

3. Inventory & Stock Control:

  • Maintain par stock of beverages, garnishes, glassware, and bar supplies.
  • Conduct daily bar inventory and report shortages to the manager.
  • Handle cash and billing processes accurately and responsibly.

4. Hygiene & Safety Compliance:

  • Follow all sanitation and hygiene protocols as per FSSAI and company standards.
  • Ensure proper storage of beverages and ingredients.
  • Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines.

5. Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in training junior bar staff or trainees.
  • Support bar setup and breakdown during opening and closing shifts.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and customer-oriented approach.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems and billing.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Bartending Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2- 5 years of experience as a Bartender in a reputed restaurant, hotel, or bar.
  • Knowledge of mixology, beverage pairing, and bar trends is an added advantage.

Salary Range:

₹30,000 – ₹35,000 per month (depending on experience and property standards)

Work Conditions:

  • Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Fast-paced hospitality environment.
