Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Banquet Sous Chef to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Roles and Responsibility
  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning and preparing menus for banquets and events.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality ingredients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Conduct menu costing and inventory management to optimize resources.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
Job Requirements
  • Proven experience as a chef or in a related field, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
  • Culinary certification or relevant training is an asset.
