Job Description

As a Banquet Manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of banquets and events hosted at our establishment. You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing staff, and optimizing banquet operations to meet revenue targets and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning and Coordination:
  • Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements, including menu selection, seating arrangements, and audiovisual needs.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, such as catering, kitchen, and facilities, to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Create detailed event plans and timelines, and communicate them effectively to staff.
  • Staff Management:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and set-up crews.
  • Schedule staff for events based on anticipated attendance and workload.
  • Provide ongoing training and performance feedback to maintain high service standards.
  • Banquet Operations:
  • Oversee all aspects of banquet operations, including set-up, service, and breakdown.
  • Ensure that banquet rooms and equipment are properly maintained and meet cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels of banquet supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed.
  • Customer Service:
  • Interact with clients and guests to address any concerns or special requests before, during, and after events.
  • Respond promptly to feedback and complaints, and take appropriate actions to resolve issues.
  • Strive to exceed guest expectations by delivering personalized service and attention to detail.
  • Financial Management:
  • Prepare banquet budgets and forecasts, and monitor expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Maximize revenue opportunities through upselling, cross-selling, and effective pricing strategies.
  • Review financial reports and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in banquet operations, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in event planning software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, safety regulations, and sanitation practices.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
