Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and execute all banquet events, including weddings, conferences, corporate meetings, and social gatherings.
  • Coordinate with clients to understand requirements, suggest banquet packages, and ensure flawless event delivery.
  • Supervise banquet setup, service flow, and event execution while ensuring high-quality guest experiences.
  • Lead, train, schedule, and manage the banquet team to maintain service standards and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and control inventory of food, beverages, equipment, and linens, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the kitchen and F&B team to finalize menus and ensure timely service.
  • Handle client feedback, resolve complaints, and manage last-minute changes with professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and legal regulations in banquet operations.
  • Achieve banquet revenue targets through upselling, cross-selling, and effective event planning.
  • Maintain vendor and supplier relationships for smooth event operations.
  • Prepare and analyze post-event reports, including revenue, client feedback, and cost management.
  • Forecast business trends and contribute to sales strategies for banquet growth.
  • Maintain proper documentation, billing, and coordination with accounts for payments and closures.
  • Stay updated with market trends, dcor styles, and banquet innovations to enhance client offerings.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Graduate/Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field.
  • 58 years of experience in banquet operations, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of banquet/event planning, F&B operations, and service standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-handling skills.
  • Proven leadership ability to manage, train, and motivate large teams.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in F&B software, POS systems, and MS Office.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage high-volume events smoothly.
  • Sales-oriented with skills in upselling, cross-selling, and revenue management.
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per event schedules.
