Job Description

Key responsibilities

1. Sales & business development

  • Drive sales of Credit Life Insurance products through assigned bank/NBFC branches and lending partners.
  • Identify and source customers from the partners loan portfolio (home, personal, auto, twowheeler, gold, business loans, etc.).
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly targets on premium, policy count, and loan coverage penetration as per business plan.
  • Ensure timely conversion of leads into policy issuance, minimizing pendency and cancellations.

2. Partner & relationship management

  • Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with branch managers, loan officers, and other partner staff.
  • Work closely with partner teams to integrate Credit Life offerings into the loan process and improve branchlevel activation.
  • Conduct regular branch visits, joint calls, and review meetings to monitor performance and resolve issues.

3. Training, awareness & support

  • Conduct product training, refreshers, and onthejob coaching for partner staff on Credit Life features, process, and compliance dos/donts.
  • Provide sales tools, scripts, and objectionhandling support to improve conversion at loan sourcing/booking stage.
  • Support branches during promotions and campaigns to increase Credit Life attachment ratio on new and existing loans.

4. Customer service & operations

  • Ensure accurate proposal filling, documentation, and data capture at the time of sale; coordinate with operations and underwriting for smooth policy issuance.
  • Track issuance, endorsements, renewals (where applicable) and resolve policyrelated queries of customers and branch staff promptly.
  • Facilitate claim notification and documentation through branches, and follow up with the claims team for timely settlement and communication.

5. Compliance, risk & governance

  • Ensure all sales are conducted as per regulatory guidelines, company policies, and partner bank policies, with full documentation and proper disclosures.
  • Maintain ethical selling practices, avoid misselling, and protect the reputation of both the insurer and partner bank/NBFC.
  • Ensure that all eligible loans are adequately covered as per the agreed Credit Life program structure and risk requirements.

6. Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare and share daily/weekly/monthly reports on business achieved, active branches, and productivity metrics.
  • Track branchwise performance, highlight gaps, and suggest action plans to improve penetration and activation.
  • Provide feedback on competition activities, customer responses, and process bottlenecks to seniors for product/process improvement.

Candidate profile

  • 15 years of experience in Life Insurance, Bancassurance, Banking, NBFC, or Financial Services, preferably in Credit Life or loanlinked insurance.
  • Exposure to working from bank branches and handling partnerdriven sales models is highly desirable.
