We are looking for a skilled Backend Lead who can guide a team of backend engineers, ensure code quality, and contribute hands-on to backend development. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in PHP and MongoDB and has worked on microservices-based applications. - Lead and mentor backend engineers, ensuring strong coding standards and development practices.
- Conduct code reviews and provide guidance on efficient backend development.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and high-quality feature delivery.
Backend Development
- Develop and maintain backend services using PHP (Laravel/CodeIgniter).
- Work on building microservices and ensure smooth communication between services.
- Manage data operations and integrations involving MongoDB and MySQL (optional).
- Contribute to complex modules, API development, and backend features.
Performance, Scalability & Security
- Improve backend performance using caching, queues, and query optimization.
- Ensure secure API development, including authentication, access control, and rate-limiting.
- Monitor system performance and ensure stability across backend services.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with product, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to support releases.
- Convert business requirements into clear technical tasks for the team.
- Help troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth backend delivery.
Skills Required
- You must have 6+ years of backend development experience, primarily with PHP and MongoDB.
- Strong experience working with microservices.
- Familiarity with Node.js and MySQL is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of backend development, APIs, and system workflows.
- Good leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
