Back End Developer

Position Overview:

We're looking for a passionate Backend Developer to help scale our AI-powered career guidance platform. You'll play a critical role in designing and enhancing our microservices architecture, optimising data workflows, and contributing to a seamless, intelligent user experience. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust, scalable microservices using web frameworks.
• Build reusable code libraries to enhance efficiency and maintainability.
• Optimize database performance and data modelling for a high-volume SaaS application.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and alignment with best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues within a distributed architecture.
• Collaborate across teams to define APIs and ensure seamless integration.
• Actively contribute ideas to improve our technology, algorithms,and product offerings.
• Provide code documentation and other inputs to technical documents.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Strong experience in Python (preferred) or other Object-Oriented Programming languages (e.g., Java, php), with proficiency in relevant web frameworks
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud platform and related services.
• Experience with LLM integrations (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) and Agentic workflows is a strong plus.
• Experience in a product-based tech startup environment is a bonus.
