We’re a fast-moving startup building a real-time conversational platform powered by cutting-edge AI. The product is already live in private beta — we’re now focused on optimizing backend performance, reducing API latency, and strengthening stability across environments.

Responsibilities

Debug, optimize, and maintain existing Node.js APIs and microservices
Improve real-time data flow, session management, and latency handling
Integrate third-party services (auth, payments, analytics, etc.)
Work closely with front-end and AI teams to ensure smooth end-to-end communication
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and server issues
Ensure data security, error logging, and clean API documentation

Requirements

Strong proficiency in
Node.js
,
Express
, and
MongoDB / PostgreSQL
Experience with
WebSocket / Socket.io / Realtime APIs
Familiarity with
JWT authentication

RESTful design
, and
Cloud hosting (AWS / Alibaba / GCP)
Understanding of
scaling APIs

Experience with
PM2

Nginx
, or similar deployment stacks
Good debugging habits and clean coding practices
