About the Role

Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and databases.
  
• Implement RESTful or GraphQL APIs to support front-end and mobile applications.
  
• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability.
  
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  
• Integrate third-party services and APIs when needed.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
  
• Ensure application security and data protection best practices.
  
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
  
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  
• Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
  
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g.,

  Node.js, Python, Java, Go, PHP, Ruby

  ).
• Experience with frameworks such as

  Express.js, Django, Spring Boot, Flask, or Laravel

  .
• Good understanding of

  RESTful API design

  and

  microservices architecture

  .
• Experience with

  databases

  (SQL: PostgreSQL, MySQL; NoSQL: MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with

  cloud platforms

  (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Understanding of

  containerization and orchestration

  (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of

  version control systems

  (Git/GitHub/GitLab).
• Understanding of

  CI/CD pipelines

  and

  testing frameworks

  .

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with

  message queues

  (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Knowledge of

  serverless architectures

  or

  event-driven systems

  .
• Exposure to

  monitoring tools

  (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Familiarity with

  Agile/Scrum

  development practices.
