About the Role The Designer for the Marketing Department is responsible for creating and editing engaging video content to support the organization's marketing initiatives. Responsibilities Video Production: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop video concepts and strategies that align with the overall marketing goals. Capture and edit high-quality video footage for various marketing channels, including social media, websites, email campaigns, and more. Experience with videography / on-site video production. Ensure that video content maintains a consistent and on-brand style, tone, and messaging. Editing and post-production: Edit and assemble raw footage, ensuring seamless transitions, clean audio, and compelling visuals. Incorporate graphics, animations, and special effects as needed to enhance video content. Optimize video content for various platforms and devices, considering aspect ratios, resolutions, and file formats. Add music, voiceovers, and sound effects to enhance the overall viewer experience. Content Management: Organize and maintain a library of video assets, ensuring easy access and efficient retrieval for future projects. Collaborate with team members to manage video files, version control, and project timelines. Quality Assurance: Review and proof video content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with branding guidelines. Make necessary revisions and improvements based on feedback from stakeholders. Stay Current: Keep up to date with industry trends and video editing software advancements to incorporate innovative techniques into video production. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in film production, digital media, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience as a video editor, preferably in a marketing or advertising environment. Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve). Ability to work in graphic design tools like Illustrator and Photoshop proficiently. Knowledge of motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects). Strong storytelling and visual storytelling skills. Excellent attention to detail and an eye for design aesthetics. Understanding of marketing principles and the ability to convey marketing messages through video. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Skills Experience with color correction and color grading. Knowledge of audio editing and sound design. Familiarity with video SEO best practices. Basic knowledge of graphic design, 3D modelling, and animation (e.g., Blender, Cinema 4D, Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, etc.)
