Your Mission

mission-driven Backend Mobile App Developer

You will lead the backend development of our mobile app—from structuring data flows and user profiles to implementing content delivery logic and AI integration.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop scalable, secure backend architecture

  for a content-driven Islamic learning app.
• Implement user management, lesson progress tracking, and real-time insights.
• Integrate APIs for AI features (recommendations, search, behavioral triggers).
• Set up cloud infrastructure (e.g., Firebase, AWS, or similar) and database management (e.g., Firestore, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems.
• Collaborate with mobile front-end developers to define APIs and ensure seamless data flow.
• Establish good practices around version control, automated testing, and deployment.
• Participate in product roadmap discussions and align development with business goals.
• Be a technical thought partner, suggesting creative solutions with a product-first mindset.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of backend development experience in mobile app environments.
• Proficient in Node.js, Python, or Go; experience with Firebase or similar BaaS platforms is a plus.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, cloud functions, serverless architecture.
• Experience with databases (NoSQL and/or relational).
• Familiar with authentication, authorization, and data privacy best practices.
• Experience working in agile, startup-like environments.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and own outcomes.

• Bonus:

  Passion for Islamic learning, experience with content-driven or educational apps, or a background in AI-powered features.
