Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js. Design, implement, and optimize database schemas and complex SQL queries in MySQL for data storage and retrieval. Build and manage secure, scalable, and high-performance RESTful APIs to connect with the frontend and third-party services. Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of user-facing elements. Implement data protection, authentication, and authorization protocols to ensure application security. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve server-side issues and bottlenecks. Conduct code reviews, unit tests, and maintain comprehensive documentation of backend services. Monitor backend performance and troubleshoot production issues as necessary. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven hands-on experience with Node.js, particularly frameworks like Express.js. Deep understanding of MySQL, including query optimization, joins, indexing, and database normalization. Advanced proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming fundamentals. Experience developing, integrating, and maintaining RESTful APIs. Nice-to-Have Skills: Familiarity with ORMs (e.g., Sequelize, Knex.js) and raw SQL when required. Knowledge of containerization (Docker), caching (Redis), or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
