Back End Developer

Fractal Street is building a next-generation platform designed for retail and professional traders. We are focused on high-performance, low-latency trading infrastructure, analytics, and seamless user experience. As we scale, we are looking for top-tier engineering talent to help build the core technology of our platform.

Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance trading systems.
• Build APIs and services for trade execution, market data, and user accounts.
• Optimize system performance, latency, and reliability.
• Work with financial data streams and real-time order matching engines.
• Implement security best practices to protect user data and transactions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver new features.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in programming languages

  : Python, C++, Java, or Go.
• Experience with

  backend development

  , REST APIs, Websockets, and microservices.
• Knowledge of

  databases

  (SQL & NoSQL) and caching systems.
• Experience with

  cloud platforms

  (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure tools like Terraform.
• Familiarity with

  DevOps

  tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in

  trading systems, stock market APIs, FIX/FAST protocols

• Knowledge of

  market microstructure, algo trading, and order book mechanics

  .
• Frontend experience with

  React, TypeScript

  (optional but a plus).
